“I will strive every day to keep a positive outlook, for happiness is a choice. I will strive to always be an example of a winner…not in the sense of ribbons and buckles, but in my attitude. I will be in competition with myself to be the best that I can be, not for the purpose of beating others.
I will dream big, and encourage others to do the same.
I believe there is something worthwhile in everyone and I will strive to show just that. I will be an encourager, up-lifter, and motivator to everyone I come in contact with. I will show love to all, and I will not judge. I will try to act upon every opportunity I have to help others. When treated wrongly, I will exhibit self-control and I will chose to forgive.
When I teach students, I will put safety above all and I will encourage but I will not force. I am and will continue to be genuinely enthusiastic about seeing others succeed. I will be overflowing with joy at the success of my students and I will measure that success by their personal improvement and goals, not by my own standards.
I will commit to a life of continuous learning, for there will always be something more to learn. I will be humble and never assume I know more than someone else. I will see mistakes as an opportunity to learn and practice good sportsmanship rather than failures.
I will continually work to improve my horsemanship and barn management. I will always work to make sure the horses under my care are as healthy and happy as possible. I will pay attention to detail. I will show patience towards horses in training and I will train in a way to work with their natural instincts rather than fight against them. My passion for training and caring for horses will always shine through in my work.
I will be honest at all times to everyone. I will not lose my integrity. I will give 100% of myself in every task I take on. I recognize my talents, possessions and opportunities as gifts and I will continuously show gratitude for these. I will use my talents to the best of my ability and become all that I can be.
I will give so much time to the improvement of myself, that I have no time to criticize others. I will cherish the past, dream for the future, but live in today. ”
“Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God’s kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.” -Mother Teresa
